Job Description

Galia Lahav Couture has a potential opening for a Full-Time or part time bridal tailor/seamstress position. This position is in our alterations department in our Miami flagship.
Client facing alterations experience is a must.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Altering gowns using industrial sewing machines and hand sewing, press, steam, and spot clean gowns as necessary
• Direct Client fittings and pinnings, take accurate measurements, prepare work order form, minimal paperwork
• Follow quality control guidelines and inspect all garments to verify pristine condition before final delivery to customer
• Provide luxury experience for all clients

Qualifications:

• Experience in bridal sewing min 4 years or Experience in couture sewing min 5 years
• Experience with an industrial sewing machine
• Experience in a customer facing alterations role
• A passion for the craft
• Attention to detail and accountability needed.
• The ability to be flexible, multi-task and work effectively in a team environment is required.
• Patterning experience is a plus
• Ability to speak English
